International Parade

Hello

A couple of weeks ago, there was an International Parade at my university. With my res, I was representing Switzerland, even though deep down I was thinking about my home Mozambique. I searched for our flag during the parade and found one boy holding the flag with pride. He made my day! These pics are from the parade that were taken by me and Mikaela. I entered a competition with them and hopefully shall do well. Hope you like them :)

Today the tables are turning once again as I am posting a picture of myself taken y someone else. This is a look I tried for the first time and really liked it - with all the compliments I got. I love the mix of the skirt and the jacket, the colours and just how everything fits together. Summer is coming my way and it's time to start wearing the bright and beautiful colours.

Referring back to when I posted about being part of a photo shoot for Fiona, here are my favourite pictures that she took of me that day. Thinking back to the moment, the chosen quote and looking at my emotion on all the pictures, I am certain that no other quote would suit me better and at that very moment, life was beautiful. I had no worries, no negative emotions and everything was triumphant! :)

I shall remember this moment, cherish the moment and live in such a way that this radiant feeling is around me at all times. I am the person I have become and I shall not apologise if I do not fit your profile. Love me for me  for I am not normal and have no idea on how to be normal.

It's me, but not mine.

For today I have decided to not post my own work, but a picture of me taken by my good friend Fiona Christensen. She asked me if I wanted to be in a photo shoot and I gladly accepted. I chose a quote that defines me and made various poses with the quote written on a piece of paper. The quote I chose reads 'Sometimes I pretend to be normal, but it gets boring, so I go back to being me'. The following link shows the picture she chose to post onto her Red Bubble page which got her a feature - YAY! :) I loved doing the photo shoot and will get the other pictures from her...for now, check the link!
