Hello
A couple of weeks ago, there was an International Parade at my university. With my res, I was representing Switzerland, even though deep down I was thinking about my home Mozambique. I searched for our flag during the parade and found one boy holding the flag with pride. He made my day! These pics are from the parade that were taken by me and Mikaela. I entered a competition with them and hopefully shall do well. Hope you like them :)

"In order to take pleasure in these portraits...it does not seem to be necessary to know the persons they represent" - Sadakichi Hartmann
Hello,
Earlier this year, I attended a formal dinner with my hall. After the dinner, I snapped a couple of shots of my friends and have decided to share them, I played around with the effects on my camera and edited them slightly over that. Hope you like them!

It's time for some Live Music !
Hello
One of my goals this year is to improve on my photography and practice more. With luck, I am a photographer for the Live Music Society and take pictures at their events. This is tougher than it looks but hopefully by the end of the year I would have improved. Hope you like these!

Silent Protest 2012 - "Sexual Violence = Silence"
Hello,
This year, with more participants, another successful silent protest was held at Rhodes University, Grahamstown. I was one of the photographers of the event and even though I was not taped this year, it is still an emotional experience. I hope the awareness was made and heard to all those within the borders of Grahamstown and beyond.
This specific picture is the one I used for a competition in the Photography Society in the university and won :)

Butterfly on a ring
Hello
It has been too long since my previous update. I have gathered a bunch of pictures and shall upload them throughout the weekend. These pictures are of a ring my friend wore to a formal dinner we had. I have an appreciation for rings and the way they are worn. Hope you like the pics!

It's all for CANSA!
Hello
Sadly, work and a lack of inspiration has gotten the best of me and I have been away from the camera. I recently took pictures of a Cansa Shavathon and Cyclathon that took place, so I have decided to share some pictures.

The bracelet collection...
Hello,
I have recently fallen in love with the look of having many different bracelets in one arm and love how the collection gradually increases with time and unforgettable memories. I have attempted many a times to start my own and I am now motivated to re-start and see how far my collection goes. May these bracelets remind me of happy days...this is how far I am at the moment, here I go!

"Don't miss all the beautiful colours of the rainbow looking for that pot of gold"
Hello
After today's weather in Grahamstown, I can say that we have all officially been welcomed back by mother nature as she showed us once again how she allows for season changes within 24 hours. On the brighter side, she ended her appearance allowing us to enjoy the view and beauty of a rainbow. As always, it looked beautiful against the grey sky and stood out from the green leaves, thus I could not waste this opportunity to not photograph such a moment - I love rainbows as they make me smile and allow me to enter into a world of pure imagination. :) Hope you like rainbows, too.

Birthday Party! \\( ' -' )//
Hello
My good friend Faira recently celebrated her birthday and got friends together for a chilled dinner. Being in Mozambique, she topped it up with a delicious cake very common in a Mozambican household, old school and forever a signature food- bolo de massa folhada :)
Parabens Faira, espero que o teu dia foi maravilhoso e que esta data ti traga muita felicidade, muito amor, muitos amigos e presentes nos proximos anos. Beijos

Sheffield, United Kingdom
Hello,
I recently travelled to Sheffield for the first time, after my sister lived there for a year, so I could watch her graduation ceremony. It was the quickest trip to Europe I have ever made, yet one I shall never forget. I was there for two days and while roaming the town with my sister, I managed to get some shots of what the city looks like. I loved going there and would definitely go there again.
Once again, well done Lara on your Master's! :)
